The Four Basic Instincts (Part 1-of-3)
--- Every species on earth, including humans, came into this world pre-programmed with four basic instincts to help them survive every type situation they were likely to encounter during their lifetime. In each encounter, automatically, they will try to deal with each situation in one of four ways. (1) Fight with it. (2) Flee from it. (3) Feed on it or (4) Sexually reproduce with it.
--- Species survival responses are totally automatic. You won't have to consciously think about the appropriate response, you'll just respond.
--- Beyond the four basic survival instincts, everything else you know, you've learned since you've been here.

The 16 Psychological Needs (Part 2-of-3)
--- Beyond the four basic instincts, regardless of what you did or how you did it, you have spent your entire lifetime trying to satisfy your psychological needs. There are sixteen psychological needs that motivate each of us and define our personalities. The way we, as individuals, have prioritized these sixteen needs has had the single greatest influence on our behavior and in how we have chosen to live our lives.
--- Based on a lifetime of scientific research, Steven Reiss, PhD, in his book, "Who Am I" identifies the 16 psychological needs as:

Universal Laws (Part 3-of-3)
--- You were born into an environment controlled by laws. scientific laws, mathematical laws, and some of nature's laws we don't even yet fully understand. All we know is if you do A, automatically, B is going to happen. Ignore the Universal Laws and your life is on track to be 70-to-75 years of struggles. Learn and understand Universal Laws, apply the laws and you will benefit by having the life of your dreams with a lot less effort on your part.
--- The most important common denominator of all Universal Laws is they apply equally to every man, woman, boy and girl regardless of race, creed, color, gender, national origin or where you happen to be on the planet at the moment. These laws are constant and consistent. They never vary in any way. If there is a variable it's based on the individual's understanding of how to use one of the laws properly for their desired end result.

Understanding Universal Laws
Based on the size, complexity and order of the universe, without universal laws, rules and regulations everything in the universe would be constantly out of balance and ultimately keep bumping into itself.
Scientists continue to add to the math and science laws which are nothing more than man's current understanding of the complexity created 14.7 billion years ago by an Infinite Intelligence.
How many times in your life have you played a new game for the very first time?
Probably quite a few times. How did you do? Lost the first few times you played, didn't you? Do you know why? You didn't yet understand the rules, did you? The more you played and learned the rules, the more often you won. If you continued to play the game over and over again, you got to a point of fully understanding all of the rules. Then you experimented with various strategies until you were so good, people knew, in advance, it was nearly impossible to beat you at the game.
Life is not a dress rehearsal. You only get to play this game one time. I don't recommend you wait until you're retired to learn the rules. The earlier you learn the rules, apply the rules, play by the rules, the better your chances are of having everything you need in life and most of everything you decide you want.

Applying Universal Laws in Your Life
Go with the flow. Earlier in life I enjoyed white water canoeing. Once you've launched, the flow of the river always, automatically, takes takes you down-stream. It's possible to go up-stream but, not very far and not very fast. Regardless of how strong you are, paddling against the current is exhausting and will wear you out measured in minutes. Going with the flow, all you have to do is guide your canoe as "the forces of nature" take over, carrying you on an all day trip you'll enjoy like no other.
As you learn more about the "forces of nature", the more you realize it's to your benefit to understand them and learn how to use them for your long-term benefit.
You may choose to believe in God, "Mother Earth", or some other form of a Higher Intelligence. Whoever or whatever Intelligence created the incomprehensible complexity of the earth we all share created a systematic order to everything in the universe.
There is a vibration or frequency to everyone and everything that shares space on planet earth. You can call these frequencies, universal laws, or rules, or regulations. Whatever, they are the forces of nature. They are constant and anyone who understands them can use this knowledge for their benefit.
A great example of literally anyone being able to use the highly complex forces of nature for their benefit regardless of age or education was explained by Earl Shoaff in his speech, "How to Become a Millionaire." He talks about electricity. If we use it properly, we can light our homes with it by screwing a light bulb into a socket. If we stick our finger in the socket, it will hurt us. You can burn your house down with it or we can light our homes with it, cook with it, or refrigerate with it. There are many beneficial uses for electricity. Same electricity. The outcome is how you use it. You don't have to have a degree in electrical engineering to enjoy the benefits of electricity.
A child, three years old can push a button and turn the lights on. You can take someone who is the greatest electrical engineer in the world and when s/he presses the button, the same thing happens. Lights go on. Basically, it does not matter. The Laws of Electricity will work for you with or without a degree.
There are all kinds of laws. We have laws of success; laws of poverty; laws of lack; laws of prosperity; laws of hate; laws of love. We have laws of peace. All of these are basic laws. If we use these laws in the right ways, wonderful things will happen to us. If we use them in wrong ways, we get ourselves in trouble.

Once you understand "the single most important objective in your life",
and other people's lives, it helps you to focus all of your beneficial activities
on the solutions leading to 'the best possible end-result', in the shortest possible time.
