GOALS and GOAL SETTING
HOW TO... Turn your IDEAS into REALITIES!

In 1919, when the richest man in the history of the world Andrew Carnegie died, a hand written note, written to himself was found in his desk drawer. He wrote the note when he was a young man. It contained his primary lifetime goal. The note read, "I will spend the first half of my life earning a fortune and the second half of my life giving it all away." That is exactly what he did with his life. He had applied what he knew about goals and goal setting and then, he wanted to share his 'how to' knowledge with everyone who might benefit from possessing that same knowledge.
By 1904, one of Carnegie's biggest unanswered question was, why so few people were annually earning millions of dollars while most men were contented just to have a job that paid hourly wages. He figured it boiled down to either rich people KNEW SOMETHING the average man had not yet LEARNED or rich people were DOING SOMETHING the average man was not yet DOING.
Carnegie was convinced, there had to be a common denominator.
In the process of achieving his desired end-result, his GOAL, he was responsible for the most extensive research ever done on 'how anyone could be successful at anything they wanted to do.'

Here is 'Andrew Carnegie's Original Nine-Step Personal Achievement Plan' detailing how he had successfully earned more money than anyone in history.
(1) FOCUS your thoughts on exactly what you desire.
(2) DECIDE precisely what you intend to give in exchange for what you desire.
(3) DECIDE the exact date you intend to achieve what you desire.
(4) CREATE a detailed and specific plan for carrying out your desire.
(5) BEGIN at once. Put your plan into action, even if you are not yet completely ready.
(6) WRITE out a clear, concise statement of what you desire, the time limit for its acquisition, what you
intend to give for what you get and describe the exact plan you will use to get what you want.
(7) READ your statement out loud when you first get up every single morning, without fail.
(8) READ your statement out loud just before you go to bed every single night, without fail.
(9) AS YOU READ your statement two times every day, see and feel and believe you already have what
you desire.

Andrew Carnegie was already the richest man in the history of the world when he decided to find out 'WHY rich people are rich and poor people are poor' so he could share that knowledge with everyone. Besides giving all his millions away before he died, Carnegie thought this might be his greatest gift to all future generations, 'the ultimate secret that leads to all success in life'.
The final report to Carnegie of what his researcher, author Napoleon Hill, found out over the next 20 years after 500 interviews with the greatest achievers of that day determined there wasn't just one common denominator as Carnegie had originally thought, there were actually thirteen!
The final report to Carnegie is still available today in what has become one of the key cornerstones of the personal achievement industry, the book, "Think and Grow Rich." This book lays out, in order, all thirteen common denominators of every successful person you have ever read about. Hill calls them "steps", they are:
Step (1) DESIRE - The starting point of all achievement.
Step (2) FAITH - Visualizing and believing you can attain your desire(s).
Step (3) AUTO-SUGGESTION - Influencing the subconscious mind.
Step (4) SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE - Learning from experience, your and others.
Step (5) IMAGINATION - The workshop of the mind.
Step (6) ORGANIZED PLANNING - Translating your ideas into actions.
Step (7) DECISION - Overcoming procrastination.
Step (8) PERSISTENCE - The required effort to induce faith.
Step (9) MASTER MIND GROUPS - Multiplying brain power.
Step (10) ENERGY CONVERSION - Re-focusing all sources of your personal energy into your objectives.
Step (11) SUBCONSCIOUS MIND - Connects you to personal resources you didn't realize you had.
Step (12) THE BRAIN - Powers of the mind you didn't know you had.
Step (13) THE SIXTH SENSE - The ability to tap into 'Infinate Intelligence.'
Step (2) FAITH - Visualizing and believing you can attain your desire(s).

Goal Setting Formula
(Based on Zig Ziglar’s approach to Getting What You Want!)
(Based on Zig Ziglar’s approach to Getting What You Want!)
(1) Write down you goal in great detail. Exactly what end result you desire.
(2) Put an absolute, iron clad, do-it-or-die completion date.
(3) List the obstacles you have to overcome as you proceed towards your goal.
(4) Identify the people, groups and organizations you have to work with.
(5) Spell out a plan of action that includes your completion date.
(6) Make a list of the benefits to you for doing this. The longer the better. The more reasons you have for doing this,
the more likely you’ll start and never give up UNTIL... you get what you want.
By following these six steps your goal will become a reality in your life!
The Wisdom of Goals (De-coded)
A goal without a plan is only a dream. (Larry Elder)
All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, have fixed their gaze on a goal which was
high, one which seemed impossible at the time.
By prevailing over all obstacles and distractions, one may unfailingly arrive at his chosen goal or
destination. (Christopher Columbus)
Everyday you spend drifting away from your goals is a waste not only of that day, but the additional day it
takes to regain the lost ground. (Ralph Marston)
Goals are simply tools to focus your energy in positive directions. These can be changed as your priorities
change, new ones added, and others dropped. (Unknown)
I can't change the wind but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination. (Jimmy Dean)
If you find a path with no obstacles, it probably doesn't lead anywhere. (Frank A Clark)
If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not people or things. (Albert Einstein)
Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-
gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose. (Helen Keller)
Set your course by the stars, not by the lights of every passing ship. (Omar Bradley)
Set your goals high and don't stop until you get there. (Bo Jackson)
Success is not final. Failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill)
The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal, the more assuredly the idea buried deep in our
subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment. (Earl Nightingale)
The principle goal of education is to create men who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating
what other generations have done - Men who are creative, inventive and discoverers. (Jean Piaget)
You are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream. (C. S. Lewis)
You have to learn the rules and then play better than anyone else. (Albert Einstein)
What is not started today is never finished tomorrow. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)
What we see depends mainly on what we look for. (John Lubbock)

Attitude of Gratitude

We hope you are finding plenty of useful information on these pages that has real value in your life. Information that helps you to achieve a larger number of your hopes, dreams, desires, wishes, and goals.
There is so much more valuable information "in the pipeline" headed your way. Money makes all worthwhile projects possible. Lack of money stops anything good from happening. If you would be kind enough to "show your attitude of gratitude" for what you are finding on these pages by making a (you-choose-the-amount) donation, we will be forever grateful.
One of the primary projects we need funding for is the production of a (FREE) 70-minute CD (or) (FREE) mp3 download for every high school and college age student in America. CD content that teaches the "real world basics" of how-to's: a healthy mind and body; time management skills; relationships skills; and money management skills. Essentially, we'd like to teach young people how to think better, make better decisions and take the kinds of actions that lead to a productive and rewarding future.
Your kindness and donation will help to turn this "wonderful idea into a serious reality" for every student in America!
Thank You.
