How your "TWO BRAINS" work together.
a/k/a "The Elephant and the Rider" Story

The two divisions of your brain (conscious and subconscious mind) can be compared to an elephant and a rider.

The conscious mind, like the rider, communicates what it wants to do to the subconscious mind (the elephant). The rider appears to be in charge of the situation however, it only appears that way. Should the elephant decide to take charge of the situation and do what it wants to do, the rider is helpless to stop it from happening. 

Consciously, you may decide there is something you want to do, should do, ought to do, based on your ideas, decisions and actions but, if your subconscious mind which stores your lifetime collection of beliefs, attitudes and skills overrides your conscious desires, you will do what 'the elephant' tells you to do.

Understand, the subconscious mind dominates your actions and activities in life that will easily lead you to your habitual successes or, just as easily, lead to your habitual failures.

I highly recommend focusing your time, effort and energy on better developing the beliefs, attitudes and skills warehoused in your subconscious mind.

Regardless of what a person chooses to do to improve the quality of their own life, they have to... "First LEARN the skill"

   

SELF-MANAGEMENT: The only thing in life you get to totally control, is yourself.  Presented here are the key components that make you who and what you are or, ultimately will become. Everything you will ever do for your own benefit, starts in your brain. Your conscious mind processes all ideas, decisions and actions in real-time based on your subconscious mind's lifetime collection of beliefs, attitudes and skills. (See the above story of "the elephant and the rider" and you'll better understand how your brain works.)
